WHAT’S INCLUDED in Your Men's Retreat for Married Men Experience

No phones, no screens, no Slack, no email. Four days fully unplugged so your nervous system can finally come down. Probably the longest you’ve actually been unreachable in years.

Deep-dive sessions on what actually shapes a marriage: communication, presence, emotional honesty, conflict, intimacy, leadership at home. Not couples therapy — work you’ll feel in your body and use the next time your partner asks you a hard question or your kid needs you to actually be there.

Personalized coaching from our team of Master Certified Coaches (MCC), Professional Certified Coaches (PCC), and skilled facilitators. The kind of one-on-one support most married men have been quietly needing — and never quite found time or permission to seek out.

Every night around the fire. This is where the masks come off and brotherhood gets built. The kind of conversations most married men never have — about marriage, fatherhood, intimacy, money, fear, regret. The conversations you didn’t know you needed until you had them.

Real men’s work isn’t all heavy. We move, we play, we laugh hard. Group actives that remind you what it felt like to be alive before life got serious.

Daily movement led by expert trainers. Not a punishing workout, internal movement designed to support your recovery, not deplete you further. Most burned-out men either crush themselves at the gym or stop moving entirely. We’ll show you the middle path.

Gourmet meals prepared on-site by our five-star chef from New York City. Real food that fuels real work.

Retreats are held on private ranch estates, surrounded by nature, fully off the grid from emails, phone calls, and the constant pull of the work that’s always waiting for you.

A small, intentional group of married men — newly married, decades married, struggling, thriving, navigating big life chapters together. All of you in different chapters, all of you working to be better husbands than you were yesterday.

Time every day to slow down. Nature, breath, stillness – the practices that turn what you learn here into a way of life.

What You'll Take Home From Your Married Men's Retreat

leave refreshed, inspired, reconnected.
ready to lead at an entirely new level - at home, at work, and inside yourself

Is This Married Mens Retreat Right for You?

Coexisting, Not Connecting

From the outside, your marriage is fine. You haven’t fought in months. You divide the kid logistics. You sleep in the same bed. You make it work.

But somewhere along the way, you stopped talking about anything that matters. You stopped reaching for them. They stopped reaching for you. You’re polite roommates raising kids together — and you both can feel it.

They doesn’t know what you’re afraid of. You don’t know what they’re struggling with. The conversations you used to have don’t happen anymore. You tell yourself this is just what marriage looks like after kids and careers. But you remember when it was different. And so do they.

Things Are Strained. You Know You’re Part of Why.

Maybe you’re fighting more than you used to. Maybe they’ve pulled away. Maybe they said something recently that landed harder than usual — about how you show up. Or don’t.

You can feel it. Something has shifted. And underneath the defensiveness, you know they’re not wrong. You’ve been distracted. You’ve been short-tempered. You’ve been emotionally absent. You haven’t been the husband you thought you’d be.

You’re not a bad man. You’re a man who lost the thread. You don’t need to be fixed. You need to do the work that lets you show up the way you’ve always wanted to — before it’s too late.

And here’s the thing, we’ve all been told a lie:

That if we provide, work hard, and stay loyal, we’re doing our job as husbands. That love is supposed to feel automatic after a while. That we don’t need to keep growing as men once the rings are on.

But the marriages that thrive aren’t built by men who coast. They’re built by men who keep doing the work, on themselves, in their relationship, and in their lives.

At this retreat, we don’t tell you how to “fix” your marriage. We don’t give you tips and tricks for date night. We help you do the inner work that lets you show up differently the day you get home.

This is where you stop coasting. Where you trade defensiveness for honesty, distance for presence, and resentment for real connection.

If you’re ready to be the husband you’ve always wanted to be — this is it.

Why married Men Attend This Retreat

Because the marriage you want isn't going to build itself. And nobody else is coming to do this work for you. This retreat isn't about hype, gimmicks, or tips and tricks for "improving communication." It's about real work — on yourself, your patterns, and the man you're being inside your marriage. The work that actually changes how you show up the day you get home.

What you will walk away with from this men's retreat:

Clarity on the patterns that have been quietly costing your marriage — and what needs to change so you don’t end up here again in three years. You’ll see your own contributions to the dynamic for what they are, without the defensiveness that usually comes with it.

Real tools for the relationships that actually matter — your marriage, your kids, your closest friendships, and the way you lead at work. You’ll learn to communicate without shutting down, listen without getting defensive, and be present in the moments that actually matter to the people who love you.

Real leadership at home — not the kind that controls or commands, but the kind that creates safety, makes decisions, and shows up. You’ll learn the difference between being in charge and being a man your partner and kids can actually rely on. And if you’ve gone passive in your marriage to avoid conflict, we’ll show you how to find your voice without becoming an asshole about it.

Most married men go through life feeling like they have to figure marriage out alone. Not here. You’ll meet a group of men who aren’t competing or pretending their marriages are perfect — they’re showing up, doing the work, and helping each other do the same. Some of the best marriages I know are held together by the men in them having brothers like this.

A real reset — not just a vacation. You carry a lot: work, kids, finances, your partner’s needs, your own pressure to be everything. This retreat creates the space to actually put it down for four days. You’ll come home lighter, clearer, and capable of being present in your own life again.

The tools to build a marriage and a life that actually feels good to live — not just one that looks good from the outside. Most married men optimize for “successful.” We’ll help you optimize for “fulfilled, connected, and proud of who you’re being at home.”

You know your life can be more than it is, and we can show you how.

Meet The Founders

MCC and Men's Retreat Co-Found Bob Conlin

Bob Conlin

Co-Founder / Ceremonialist

Bob Conlin, MCC, is a Master Certified Coach and co-founder of Alchemy of Men. He’s one of fewer than 2,000 MCC-credentialed coaches worldwide — the highest credential the International Coaching Federation offers. For 10+ years, Bob has worked with executives, founders, and men navigating the pivot points of midlife: career, marriage, fatherhood, purpose.

Bob is a husband to Shona, a father to Forest, and the kind of man who’ll meet you exactly where you are without flinching. His superpower is asking the question you’ve been avoiding — and holding space while you actually answer it.

PCC and Men's Retreat Leader Alex Terranova

Alex terranova

Co-Founder

Alex Terranova is a 2x author, executive coach, and co-founder of Alchemy of Men. For over a decade, he’s helped men cut through the bullshit, move past the stuck places, and reconnect with the parts of themselves they’ve been outrunning. His coaching has been described as “cutting through the noise while channeling spirit in the moment” — which is a fancy way of saying he’ll see you clearly and call you forward.

Alex lives in Carlsbad, California with his wife Evin, a wiener dog named Cali, and a cat named Tucker. He’s been working with men individually and in groups for years — but the retreats are where he sees the deepest shifts happen. Come find out why.
