The campfires were 10X. I can’t say enough good things about them. There was value in examining our relationships to just about everything. I appreciated experiencing the Wim Hoff breathwork. The most significant impact is on my relationships. Since the retreat, I’ve shared some things with my father I’d been keeping from him, taken my daughter fishing, and shared some heartfelt sentiments with my sister. The retreat reminded me of the importance of showing and telling people their importance to me and making time for them. I would absolutely recommend this to other men. The areas we explored and how we honored the masculine, you don’t get that anywhere else…well, in boot camp, but after that, I haven’t found any other place we honored our masculine. If you feel a little lost, confused, or need to get your head right, there is no better place than here, in the company of like-minded men

This was my second retreat, and I'm already looking forward to the third. The work we do here is an essential part of who I am and what I want to bring to the world. The exercises, the men, and the trust built at the retreat create a unique and invaluable environment that I don't find elsewhere in my life. Two significant takeaways from this year's retreat stand out. I learned that I can be unapologetically myself without the need for censorship or apologies. We all have something to offer and learn from each other, and the love and care we provide one another are often absent in the traditional masculine world. Nurturing, a word typically associated with femininity, is actually deeply masculine and essential for stoking the fires of our humanness. Secondly, the retreat helped me clarify my direction and shed confusion. While I have various interests and projects, they often felt scattered. Through stripping away the stories and judgments, I gained clarity on what truly matters. In my professional life, I'm taking away valuable insights on leading teams and making subtle yet powerful shifts in my approach that will be immediately applicable when I interact with the people I manage. Regarding my relationships, the retreat taught me the importance of releasing burdensome energy that doesn't serve any purpose. By letting go, I feel freer, lighter, and more capable of embracing my wife, family, and the upcoming addition to our family.

Best part was when we would sit down at the table as a unit and have conversations with each other. The feeling of a family, feeling that yes, I’m in the middle of nowhere, but I’m safe with my brothers. It was extremely deep. The intentional fire meeting every night was great because not only we had no idea what to expect, but just that every night it was something that we had to dig deep into, and not one workshop was the same.

Returning for a second retreat allowed for even deeper growth, witnessing positive changes in others. Living in a city can be overwhelming, but the retreat offers a refreshing break and personal introspection. I came to the retreat seeking to address life satisfaction issues and explore my relationships. And what I got from the retreat was a profound realization that we're all going through similar challenges as men. In my relationship, I discovered the power of vulnerability and being the first to open up. This had a positive impact on my marriage, even from the distance of the retreat. I came in with a bit of I probably know what's gonna happen and got slapped in the face (in a great way). Alex and Bob hold you to the highest level of potential, whether it’s about your relationship with yourself, your family, or your business.

This was my first retreat ever. I didn’t know what to expect, and Holy Shit, I’ve never been this emotionally present. When I go home, I can bring more power, confidence, passion, understanding, and clearer communication into my work and relationship with my wife and kids. “Our women want to feel us.” this quote from Alex resonated loudly. Understanding this, instead of our indecision and rationale, can make them (our wives) feel unsafe. I will take more ownership, be more responsible and empowered in my experience, and spend less time on explanations. I realize it’s time to lead in my family, work, and community and start owning the fire within me. I would 100% recommend this to others. Men should come; it’s not what they think it is. You don’t have to have any experience in masculinity work. You get to come here and be accepted as you are, but you also become fully alive and find the desire and drive within you.

I feel expanded and grounded. I appreciate the more profound inner work, various exercises, prompts, conversations, sacred rituals, and explored plant medicines. I deeply respect what’s required to hold space, and I was in awe of Alex and Bob’s partnership. Every detail of the retreat was dripping with intention. The bottom line is that this retreat supports me in bringing more conscious awareness of being the man I choose to be in the world. I came here looking to focus on owning my power, and I had a breakthrough in connecting to the essential elements of masculinity. Being in this space allows you to expand your capacity with your emotions, spirituality, and yourself. The fire ceremony spoke to me. Learning to be willing to be all myself and trust that will is essential to everything I’m creating, the partner I want, the business I’m building, and the family dynamic I’m redefining. I think it’s essential that men specifically take on this work. It impacts how we share our gifts, how we pursue our purpose, and how we support our partners, our families, and our community. I got more than 4x the value that I paid. Really well done, men.

This experience was powerful, magical, and fulfilling. This experience has given me the tools to see my situation differently, to see that I created it the way it is, and it’s not how I want it to be. It’s helped me to realign to my spiritual practice, to trust my intuition, to calm down and slow down. This supports me to be less stressed out and more present. I now have the tools and the vision to create the life I want. There is nothing more powerful than a place like this to get intentional and conscious of the things you care about at home and work. Men, you are worth it; this is worth it. Every single man should do this.

This experience was powerful. Powerful. This was good for my family. The expansion and depth I received in getting connected with who I am and what matters to me. This is a gift I get to take home and give to my wife and daughter and will benefit our relationships.

I can already feel a difference in my approach to having difficult conversations involving money, future planning, and being present with obstacles I would usually deflect. Through this experience, I can see how my “lone wolf” mentality is weaker, and there are only so many battles I can win alone before exhausted, calloused, and unmotivated. I feel like part of me died here, and I feel hopeful that the part that is left is the best part I get to share with the people I care about most.

The biggest takeaway I received will impact my relationship with my wife. There is value here for every man, yes, every man. One thing I took from this weekend was listening to other perspectives and the connection, depth, and intention coming. To spend time with other men in deep conversations is cool stuff. I can implement the insights I got here in my work with my wife, children, and my family.

I recommend this retreat to other men because we live in a world discouraging intimacy. The only intimacy that most men get is through their partners, which can create a lot of unfair weight. You need intimacy from other people besides the person you chose to spend your life with, and I feel like this retreat gave that to me. The men here are incredibly impressive, intentional, and passionate people, and I haven't experienced this in a very, very long time, and it speaks to me spiritually. From this experience, I realize I need to slow down and greet adversity at a slower pace.

A big takeaway from the retreat was witnessing other men be vulnerable about where they are out, realizing that I’m not alone in what I’m going through. The container created here allowed everyone to show up honestly and authentically. Alex and Bob are really onto something with these retreats, and it’s powerful to see the impact these four days had on everyone.

This experience was one of the most profound weekends of my life. I lacked connection with other men and had some hesitation and fear around that. I am most excited about the connections I created and that I challenged myself to come here and confront the fear. At the retreat, I noticed how supportive, caring, and loving the other men have been. While they are very different from me, I think we crave the same thing about connection. I want to bring openness, dialogue, friendships, camaraderie, connection, and positivity back into my life at home. In life, you can blow off or procrastinate, but here, you are held accountable—not just by the facilitators but by the other men. We don’t want to let each other down. For other men, figure out what’s keeping you from being here because being here is life-changing.

This retreat feels good and awesome! This was my first retreat, and I came here thinking it was gonna be just for my business and saw that it was really about combining it all, family and business. I learned that I need to be more respectful with my time, and not always focused on work and my phone. I actually gave up my phone for this whole retreat which was a big deal. When I go home, I need to spend more time with my kids because family comes first. I learned my problems are killing me, and making me tired, and instead of enjoying my family, I’m distracted by phone, email, or other people. Here, I’m learning from everyone. And looking back I’m seeing what I learned from my Dad and how he didn’t provide or wasn’t treating my mom how he’s supposed to show her love. And I realized I was doing the same things, not showing my kids love, just working, and that I’m being a parent to my brothers instead of my kids. And I see my kids are still young I can still fix it. And I can forgive my Dad. It’s easy to be open here. As a Hispanic Mexican, there’s a lot of machismo. They don’t think they need this, and I think we do. This experience did help me; it gave me a lot. It was mind-opening.

I was a little apprehensive coming here… But as soon as I got to the airport and got around to the other guys, I felt this sense of safety. I felt like, okay, I'm gonna be okay, it's gonna be just fine, and I still feel that here, I'm feeling it even more now. I'm really enjoying the safety to explore myself and to come out of my shell and not just withdraw all the time. In this space, everyone here is open to being vulnerable. Everyone here realizes that it's okay to speak their truth, to cry, to scream, to take a battle to a pillow and that you're gonna be okay to experience whatever comes out. In the real world, people are very, very afraid to experience anything because then they have to realize that they have to deal with it. Here, you deal with it, I absolutely would recommend this to other men because it gives you a chance to finally open up and live your life. It gives you a chance to release the pressure that is on you every single day, no matter where you come from or what walk of life you're in as a man. We all have pressures, and we don't always feel like we have a way to let that top off of that pressure cooker.

I want to go home and bring this energy to my wife and try to change things. I'm going home more empowered, where I can regain control of my life and the things I've abandoned. Going back, I'm gonna literally ask my wife, 'Look, I need to get to know you again. I need to put effort into my relationship. I've been scared to get to know my wife. I know she's carried a lot of resentment and pain from things I have done and haven't done. At some point, I just I stopped dating her, I stopped, and that energy just went away. But I also lost myself for the last couple of years. A lot of what made her fall in love with me. I was lost. The biggest thing I need to keep in mind is that I can't buy happiness for myself or my relationship. There are not enough trips. It’s very easy for me to work more, and we can change this thing about the house or just do something else that is a replacement. We men carry self-deprecation and a poor self-image all the time. Those voices are constant. But there is real vulnerability here. I can't say there's ever been a point in my life, especially with other men, that I've ever been able to be this open. With women, yes, but this is a different connection, a relatability when you hear it from a guy's perspective. Yes, I would recommend this to other guys because I feel like there are a lot of men who have become professional compartmentalizers. I was, and I still am to some degree. Guys tuck stuff away, thinking they’ve dealt with it, when all they’ve done is put it in a place that they can’t see or feel until some foundational things have been eroded, and then it shows up.

This is my first men’s retreat. I hadn’t been with a group of men in a bunkhouse cowboy style in about 50 years. I came to this retreat because I saw my son; there was something different about him. I asked him what he’d done and he told me about this experience. And I said I wanted some of that. I’ve been through what the men here are going through now: trying to raise kids, growing wealth, and having relationships. For me, I’m here to grow my spiritual self.
